How I think about my art community…
The “art world” doesn’t care about artists.
When you hear about the “art world,” you probably think of the small insular monoculture that the media celebrates for its record-breaking sales, fancy galleries, billionaire collectors, and lavish gala’s full of privileged fart sniffers.
That is not us.
We are artists who want to do the work to make a living from our art.
We care more about community and personal growth than anything else.
We are not the “art world” -- we are the World of Art.
The World of Art is vast, exciting, raw, and inspiring.
You can’t relegate us to a white cube.
We don’t judge you based on which school you went to, which gallery you show at, or which billionaire uses you as a tax haven.
We care about practice.
We have come together across borders and mediums to say, fuck that system, let’s create our own.
Let’s create a world of abundance.
Let’s work together to accelerate the success of the collective.
The world of art is a positive sum game.
We can all win.
And win we will, together.
